Lamella is a fast settler with a series of inclined parallel plates. As the liquid flows upward through the inclined parallel lamella plates, the heavier particles or sludge in the liquid settle on Lamella plates and slide( slip) down due to gravity. By increasing the number of inclined plates, lamella does the separator that 10 times occupied less space.
